q1. Which market do you aim your services at?

Any business or organization including schools, pub's, clubs of any nature - who has information to share and possibly, someone like you.

q2. Do you provide ecommerce services?

We are more than happy to design your sales site and connect your sales link's via Pay Pal or your choice of similar service. We want to be sensible and provide only the services we can promise. Custom shopping cart pages are planned for the future. As our business grows, so too will the services we offer.

q3. What are you're skills and qualifications?

I first became interested in computing in 1983, I inherited an Amstrad CPC 464 and a Sinclair ZX and mastered the art of programming. I later moved on to the Commodore Amiga and over four years, I built an impressive system. I spent countless hours designing images and animations of every type; I entered the world P.C around 1998. Sometimes, I think my whole life has been spent on the internet. I have spearheaded a worldwide P.C club and was Managing Director of a computer retail outlet from 2001 through to 2003. In that time I have reviewed hundreds of software packages for software publishers worldwide gaining a reputation under the guise of Dr. Oscar. I have always provided my own web sites, therefore offering a design/hosting service is a natural progression for me. I program with html and in addition; I enjoy using the most technically advanced software available.

q4. You say you provide a hosting service?

Under agreement with tried and trusted free server providers; we park your site on freely available web space. One of which this site is on. (Good isn't it?)
Most free web sites providers require free web sites to host an advertisement on each page; however the At Space server doesn't show any advertisements at this time. We have been in negotiations with their support team and I am confident of future use of their services.
If your needs are greater, we can also provide paid for web site hosting.
We also offer an update and maintenance service for those who simply don't have the time.

q5. Are your sites designs made-to-order or off-the-shelf?

I prefer to design custom web site's; however we also store a vast range of pre designed templates.

q6. What software program's do you use to design web sites?

It is said, "e;Never ask a tradesman to reveal his secrets"e;; However we have nothing to hide. I was taught to program html. I have built many web sites by code. Then I moved on to using Macro media Dream Weaver and Macro media Fireworks which has only helped to improve my work. All my artwork is designed using Paint Shop Professional with Adobe Photo Shop and Elements. Other utilities are used however the list is endless. In addition I am also currently studying Macro media Flash.

q7. You don't appear to have any major clients or awards.
Will I be wasting my time and money using your service?

Everyone starts somewhere. Having provided our own web sites; we have progressed to providing web sites for contractors, however since we don't get credit for our work, we decided to promote ourselves. If you do decide to contacts, then you can answer that question for yourself. A record of future achievements will be posted here in due course.

q8. Your e-mail address, greenlitewebdesign@hotmail.co.uk is hotmail. Is there a reason for your use of hotmail?

We need to protect our computers, so having web mail does that for us. Since we are available live on messenger and ICQ; it makes sense.

q9. What happens if I don't like the result of my new web site?

Since we work closely with you, we don't envisage that happening; however, as with any service, what you don't like you don't pay for! No money changes hands unless you are happy to do so.
